Frequently Asked Questions.
What is Morpheus8.
Morpheus 8 is an advanced skin rejuvenation treatment that combines microneedling and radiofrequency technology. It uses fine needles to create controlled micro-injuries in the skin, promoting collagen production and enhancing skin texture. Simultaneously, it delivers radiofrequency energy, generating heat in the deeper skin layers, resulting in subdermal adipose remodelling (fat remodelling), skin tightening and improved firmness. This procedure is effective for reducing wrinkles, tightening jowls, reducing undereye wrinkles, improving acne scars, evening tone and texture and improving sagging skin on the face, neck, and body (abdomen, underarms, knees, elbows, labia).
How Many treatments of Morpheus8 will I need?
The recommended number of Morpheus treatments can vary depending on your specific concerns and the results you desire. Typically, a series of 2-6 treatments spaced 4-8 weeks apart is suggested. However, this can be adjusted based on your individual needs.
How long does the treatment take?
Expect to hang out with us for 2 hours. Plan to arrive 1.5 hours before your scheduled appointment time so we can apply the BEST freezing possible to your face/neck and allow it to do it's magic. The actual procedure takes ~30 minutes in most people.
I've heard Morpheus8 can be painful!
This is not your typical spa/surface level microneedle. This is a much deeper and more results driven procedure. This procedure calls for a "no pain no gain" attitude.
That being said we have had super results with:
1. Topical freezing- We like to consider it our magic potion. Better than most freezing out there.
2. Distraction techniques- Theragun anyone?
3. If things get too "exciting" you can always add in laughing gas or Penthrox for a nominal fee. You can safely drive after as it only lasts in the system for 5-10 minutes, is non-opiate, does not interact with your medications and is non-addictive.
4. Nerve blocks as needed- while most people do not need dental nerve blocks, Dr. KK has some ER doctor skills to further numb the pain! A nominal fee is applied to these sweet skills.

Morpheus8 is generally considered safe for all individuals of every skin type, but there are certain situations and conditions where it may not be recommended or suitable. People who may not be good candidates for Morpheus8 include:
-
Pregnant Women: It is typically not recommended for pregnant women, as the effects on the fetus or infant are not well-studied.
-
Severe Skin Infections or Open Wounds: Individuals with active skin infections or open wounds in the treatment area should postpone Morpheus8 until the skin has fully healed.
-
Certain Medical Conditions: People with certain medical conditions, such as HSV/ cold sores or shingles will need to get a prescription for Valtrex from their provider to prevent a re-occurance.
-
Hypersensitivity or Allergies: If you have a known hypersensitivity or allergies to GOLD (the needles used in Morpheus8) this is not a safe procedure for you, as it could trigger an allergy.
-
Recent Sunburn or Tan: Morpheus8 is generally not performed on sunburned or tanned skin due to the risk of adverse effects and uneven results. Waiting 2 weeks after an active tan is a safe plan.

Procedure downtime.
Common side effects include redness, swelling, and mild discomfort, which typically subside within a few hours to a few days. Some people might experience mild bruising or peeling or "stamping" of the skin. This is temporary. Use of hydrating creams, non-sedating antihistamines (reactine and claritin) and hydrocortisone can improve these side effects. Occasionally bruises occur near bony surfaces. these are temporary and are gone within the week.
How long until I expect to see results?
The timeline for Morpheus8 results can vary from person to person. While many individuals may notice immediate skin tightening, under-the-chin fat dissolving and improved texture, the full benefits typically become more apparent over several weeks to months. At typically 3 weeks the skin will be glowing and tighter. Morpheus8 stimulates the growth of collagen and elastin, which takes time to manifest visible improvements. Patients usually see optimal results within 3 to 6 months after the treatment as their skin continues to rejuvenate and remodel.
What creams should I use after treatment?
In general you will not use any creams the night of treatment. We have put everything on your face that's needed.
